At long last, Election 2016 has drawn to a close. No matter what your political affiliation is, or whether your candidates won or lost, we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the United States of America will continue to endure, as it has for the last 240 years.
And today, in honor of Veterans Day, I’d like to underscore the fact that it is because of the dedication and sacrifice of our armed services that we enjoy the freedom to cast votes for the candidates of our choosing and freely voice our opinions about governance. Yes, this was a particularly tumultuous political season. But, for me, that’s all the more reason to take a moment today to thank those who serve or have served our country. Without their service, we would not enjoy the freedoms we take for granted every day.
On Thursday, at our company headquarters in Hyannis, MA, we had a meeting for all SencorpWhite employees, and I handed out recognition plaques to the veterans who work here. As I’ve said before, I’ve seen firsthand how the workplace can be impacted by a veteran’s leadership skills, dedication and commitment. Over the years, I’ve found veterans to be extremely well-trained, disciplined and collaborative—which means they are an incredible asset to our company.
Yesterday, we came together as a company to recognize the veterans who work here.
Today, on behalf of all SencorpWhite and Accu-Seal employees, I’d like to pay special tribute to all of the people who have served, or are serving, in our country’s armed forces, particularly those who are now SencorpWhite employees, partners, vendors and customers. These veterans made valuable contributions while they were in the service, and they continue to make valuable contributions now that they are home.
To all veterans, enjoy a wonderful Veterans Day…You deserve it!
